Cents sits on the eastern edge of the city above Neudorf and across the Alzette valley from Kirchberg. It's residential — 20th-century houses, some new apartment developments, a small parish church, and a handful of local restaurants. The main reason to stay is if you’re arriving late by air, need a slightly cheaper base, or have a specific reason like the Findel airport being close (about 10 minutes by bus). Views west toward the city are surprisingly good on clear days.

Stay here if the price is materially cheaper than closer alternatives and you don’t mind a bus commute of 15-20 minutes to Ville Haute. Skip if you want atmosphere or restaurants at your door. It's genuinely a bedroom neighborhood — perfectly safe, perfectly clean, and perfectly uninteresting for tourists in itself. Convenient for the airport.

Where to stay

Very few hotels — maybe three, mostly airport-oriented mid-range business hotels along Rue de Trèves and near the eastern boundary. Expect $95-150. Apartments dominate the rest of the accommodation supply. Look for anything with a west-facing view over the valley if you want the city skyline at sunset. Avoid rooms on the main bus corridors if you’re sensitive to early-morning traffic — buses to the airport start before 6am.

Getting there

Bus 29 connects Cents to Findel airport in about 10 minutes and to Hamilius in 20 minutes. Buses 15 and 194 also serve the area. From Gare Centrale, allow 25-30 minutes with one transfer. Driving to the airport is 8 minutes; driving to Ville Haute is 15 minutes plus parking hunt. No tram service. Walking to the nearest cultural attractions requires descending into Neudorf or Clausen first.

Is Cents worth staying in?

Only if there's a clear price advantage (materially cheaper than Kirchberg or Bonnevoie) or if you’re arriving very late and leaving very early via the airport. Otherwise better options exist.

Can I walk from Cents to Kirchberg?

You can — descend to Neudorf then climb via Rue de Neudorf or take the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg funicular. It's a 25-30 minute walk with significant elevation. Bus is faster and free.
